Softball Game Preview: Lower Dauphin Falcons vs. Hershey Trojans

Lower Dauphin is a perfect 10-0 against Hershey since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Lower Dauphin will face off against Hershey at 4:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Lower Dauphin beat Red Land 8-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Carissa Wenner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Audrey Adams was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Borrelli, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Hershey got themselves on the board against Palmyra on Tuesday, but Palmyra never followed suit. They blew past the Cougars 15-0. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lower Dauphin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hershey, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Lower Dauphin came out on top in a nail-biter against Hershey in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Does Lower Dauphin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hershey turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
