Basketball Recap: Kaden White's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Owen Valley over Cascade

Owen Valley and Cascade squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Owen Valley had to settle for second. They fell 63-52 to the Cascade Cadets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cadets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-32 back in February.

Owen Valley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden White, who went 7-for-12 en route to 17 points and three blocks. Those three blocks gave White a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joey Richardson, who posted 13 points.

It was another big night for Brady Trebley, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds for Cascade. Trebley is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last seven games he's played. Toby Savini was another key player, shooting 64% from the field to rack up 16 points and three steals.

Owen Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season. The victory was the fourth in a row for Cascade, bringing their record for this year to 15-8.

Owen Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cascade, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-54 defeat against Speedway on the 7th.
