While Trevor Cook delivered a dominant effort on Thursday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Lake Norman Charter. Cook was unstoppable, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Cook and Lake Norman Charter will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Pro Stock Royals Academy at 4:30 p.m. The last time Cook duked it out with the Royals (back in March of 2024), the Knights came out on top by a score of 15-0.
