Softball Recap: Northgate Flames vs. Sewickley Academy
Northgate can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They skirted past Sewickley Academy 12-10. The high-scoring effort was just what Northgate needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.
The team relied heavily on Gracie Auth, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Sa'Niyah Wilson was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
Northgate's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Sewickley Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
