For the second straight game, Senn will face off against Von Steuben. The Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Senn has five straight wins, Von Steuben has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Senn beat Von Steuben 9-4.
Audrey Lebovitz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Pippa Gerharz and Gabrielle Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Gerharz went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Smith got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Gerharz is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Margelys (Victoria) Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Senn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Senn's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Von Steuben, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Von Steuben's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Senn has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Von Steuben, though, as they've been averaging 11.2 hits. Given Senn's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
