Volleyball Preview: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Plainfield North Tigers        
        
		
             Plainfield Central and Plainfield North are an even 5-5 against one another  since September of 2016, but  not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought when  Wildcats takes on the Plainfield North Tigers at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Plainfield Central is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a five-game streak of away losses.
 Having struggled with six  defeats in a row, Plainfield Central finally turned things around against Plainfield East  on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bengals by a score of  2-0.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21,  25-18.
 Plainfield Central can attribute much of their success to   Isabella Ricketts, who  had eight  digs and five  aces, and   Natalie Suffecool, who  had four  digs and 12  assists. The dominant performance gave  Ricketts a new career-high in  aces.
 Meanwhile, Plainfield North narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past Plainfield South  2-1.
 The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Plainfield North who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25,  25-21.
 Plainfield Central's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Plainfield North, their victory  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 4-17.
 Plainfield Central came up short against Plainfield North in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023, falling  2-0. Can Plainfield Central avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
