Volleyball Recap: Mansueto Triumphs

Mansueto posted their closest win since March 26th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the UIC College Prep Firecats. The win continues a trend for the Leopards in their matchups with the Firecats: they've now won four in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Mansueto who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 22-25, 25-18.

Mansueto's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for UIC College Prep, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mansueto is set to square off against their familiar foe Bulls College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, UIC College Prep will challenge rival Rauner at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
