On Monday, Guyer faced Hebron in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Guyer Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Hebron Hawks 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Guyer's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hebron, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3.

Coincidentally, Guyer and Hebron will both be playing Little Elm the next time they take the field. Hebron will head out to face Little Elm at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Guyer will host them at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th.
