Basketball Recap: Centennial Apaches vs. Lawndale Cardinals

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt an 81-44 loss at the hands of the Lawndale Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Apaches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1121st, while the Cardinals are ranked 337th).

Despite the defeat, Centennial saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jamir Bell made all 8 shots he took from beyond the arc racking up 44 points along with 41 rebounds and 25 blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bell has scored all season.
