Recap: Neligh-Oakdale vs. Clearwater/Orchard
Clearwater/Orchard won the last time it faced Neligh-Oakdale, and things went their way on Friday, too. Clearwater/Orchard steamrollered Neligh-Oakdale 68-14. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-6.
Senior Jacob Long, who rushed for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in the success. Senior Blake Hoke was in the mix, too, providing Clearwater/Orchard with with 2 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving Clearwater/Orchard a 1-0 record and starting Neligh-Oakdale off at 0-1.
Next week, Clearwater/Orchard take on Creighton at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up. As for Neligh-Oakdale, they will face of against Ainsworth.
