Soccer Game Preview: J.H. Rose vs. Jacksonville

The J.H. Rose Rampants will challenge the Jacksonville Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

J.H. Rose had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but New Bern put an end to it on Thursday. The Rampants fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but J.H. Rose couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Devin McAlduff, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.2 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Vikings.

J.H. Rose moved to 8-9-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Jacksonville, their win bumped their record up to 13-4-2.
