Basketball Recap: South Charleston Black Eagles vs. Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles
South Charleston and Woodrow Wilson squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but South Charleston had to settle for second. They fell 56-43 to the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles. The Black Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Flying Eagles earlier this season, when they won 51-42.
Coby Dillon was his usual excellent self, shooting 53% from the field to rack up 27 points and six rebounds for Woodrow Wilson. That's the most boards Dillon has posted since back in February of 2024. Preston Clary was another key player, putting up eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
South Charleston's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Woodrow Wilson, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.
