Cheney is 8-2 against Trinity Academy since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cheney Cardinals will head out to square off against the Trinity Academy Knights. Cheney knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Trinity Academy likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Cheney was fully in charge, breezing past Belle Plaine 86-30. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Trinity Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-49 W against the Indians.

Cheney's win bumped their record up to 15-0-1. As for Trinity Academy, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Everything came up roses for Cheney against Trinity Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 59-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cheney since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
