Volleyball Recap: East Central Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

East Central had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Veterans Memorial Patriots, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

While East Central had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-23.

Looking ahead, East Central will take on Highlands in a tournament on Friday. As for Veterans Memorial, they will challenge Medina Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
