Basketball Game Preview: Columbia Wildcats vs. Nampa Bulldogs

The Columbia Wildcats will face off against the Nampa Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nampa took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Columbia, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Columbia turned things around against Skyview on Thursday. They slipped by the Hawks 48-47. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Nampa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 63-18 defeat at the hands of Bishop Kelly. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Knights are ranked 42nd).

Columbia's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Nampa, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Everything came up roses for Columbia against Nampa in their previous matchup on January 7th, as the squad secured a 56-26 win. Will Columbia repeat their success, or does Nampa have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
