The Winnfield Tigers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 30-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jonesboro-Hodge. Winnfield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jonesboro-Hodge apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Winnfield's loss came despite strong showings from Jaylon Jackson and Jake Jones. Jackson gained 169 total yards and a touchdown, while Jones rushed for 17 yards and two touchdowns.

Winnfield has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.
