Softball Recap: Nettleton Comes Up Short

Nettleton's last matchup with Wynne could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Nettleton Raiders came up short against the Wynne Yellowjackets, falling 13-1. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Avery Sample was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two stolen bases.

Nettleton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Wynne, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Nettleton will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Greene County Tech at 4:30 p.m. As for Wynne, they will take on Searcy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
