 Farmington scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Astoria/VIT Rebels as the Farmington Farmers made off with  a  13-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Farmington considering their two-run performance the  contest before.
  Jacob Evans made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Evans has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Evans was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Dawson Foster was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Alais Hart, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Farmington pushed their record up to 4-5 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.7 runs per game. As for Astoria/VIT,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-5.
 Farmington will head out on the road to  face off against  Cuba/Spoon River Valley at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Cuba/Spoon River Valley will roll in looking for their  tenth straight  win, something Farmington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Astoria/VIT, they will be playing at home against Illini West at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Illini West is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.7  runs per game this season.
