Baseball Recap: Wolfe City Wins Going Away Against Bland

Wolfe City got themselves on the board against Bland on Tuesday, but Bland never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 9-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.

Noah Adams made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Wolfe City is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-6 otherwise. Adams was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carson Herron, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. HD Davis was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Wolfe City back to even at 7-7. As for Bland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Wolfe City will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
