Basketball Recap: Indian Rocks Christian Beats Osceola for Their Fourth Straight Win

Indian Rocks Christian extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Will Murphree. The Indian Rocks Christian Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 victory over the Osceola Warriors on Monday thanks in part to Murphree, who went 11 of 22 on his way to 32 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Indian Rocks Christian's points.

Austin McDonnell was another key player, putting up seven points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games he's played.

Osceola lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Talon Brooks, who went 8 for 19 en route to 26 points. That's the most points Brooks has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Lemons, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points.

Indian Rocks Christian pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Osceola, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Indian Rocks Christian has already played their next game, a 62-57 victory against Northside Christian on the 14th. Osceola has also already played their next contest (against Boca Ciega), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
