Joel Fitz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.
In other batting news, Mark Fitz was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Jett Burger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Southern Fulton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive games.
Southern Fulton's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Fannett Metal, their record now sits at 10-3.
