Basketball Recap: Lincoln Northwest Takes a Loss

Lincoln Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 32nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Lincoln Christian Crusaders and fell 82-14. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Crusaders are ranked third).

Kena Ailes continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lincoln Christian, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Ailes is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jessa Hueser, who posted seven points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Lincoln Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Lincoln Christian, they pushed their record up to 22-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lincoln Northwest has already played their next contest, a 66-14 defeat against Crete on the 14th. Lincoln Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
