Softball Recap: Berlin Redcoats vs. Lewis Mills Spartans

Berlin dropped to 8-5 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Lewis Mills Spartans, falling 8-2. The Redcoats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Looking ahead, Berlin will head out to square off against Newington at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewis Mills, they will face off against Platt at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 21.2 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
