Flag Football Recap: Heritage Piles Up the Points Against Dublin

After only eight points in their last contest, Heritage made sure to put some points up on the board against Dublin on Saturday. The Patriots breezed past the Gaels to the tune of 42-8. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Grace Luna and Emaia Balumbu.

Heritage pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.8 points on average over those games. As for Dublin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Coincidentally, Heritage and Dublin will both be playing Cornerstone Christian the next time they take the field. The Gaels will head out to face the Cougars at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
