Recap: Horeb Christian Mustangs vs. Doctors Charter Hawks

With a playoff game on the line, the Horeb Christian Mustangs rose to the challenge on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 victory over the Hawks. The win was a breath of fresh air for Horeb Christian as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Horeb Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Wilson, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ifeanyi Ezeala, who scored 15 points.

Horeb Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Doctors Charter, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Horeb Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sagemont on February 6th. Sagemont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully Horeb Christian likes a good challenge. Doctors Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
