Basketball Recap: Waverly Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

Waverly won the last time they faced Duchesne and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Waverly Vikings snuck past the Duchesne Cardinals with a 51-45 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Parker Christiansen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 18 points. Mia Jackson was another key player, earning nine points.

Waverly's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for Duchesne, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waverly will head out to face off against Hastings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hastings has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Duchesne, they are taking a road trip to take on Malcolm at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
