Volleyball Recap: Wheaton North Takes a Loss

Wheaton North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15.

Ben Boyce paced Wheaton North's offense, picking up nine kills. Boyce got some help from Aidan Syswerda and his 15 assists.

Wheaton North's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-10. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Wheaton North will square off against Bartlett at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they will challenge Sandburg at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
