Among those leading the charge was Savannah Smith, who went 9 for 18 on her way to 19 points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in boards (four). Sophie Sloan was another key player, putting up no points along with four steals and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Goldsboro waltzed into their game last Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 69-43 margin over the Saints. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.
Goldsboro's win came from a few key players Wallace-Rose Hill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Des'Myah Croom, who shot 4-for-6 from long range and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Imari Buckom, who went 6 of 7 on her way to 16 points.
Goldsboro was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as John Paul II Catholic only racked up six assists.

As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Wallace-Rose Hill has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 20.7 boards per game.
