Baseball Game Preview: Citronelle Wildcats vs. St. Paul's Episcopal Saints

For the second straight game, Citronelle will face off against St. Paul's Episcopal. Citronelle is taking a road trip to face off against St. Paul's Episcopal at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Citronelle is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Citronelle came up short against St. Paul's Episcopal on Wednesday, falling 10-3.

For St. Paul's Episcopal's part, they got a massive performance out of Taylor O'Dell, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs O'Dell has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tate Johnston, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

O'Dell wasn't the only one working in the hit department: St. Paul's Episcopal kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

St. Paul's Episcopal is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. Citronelle's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-14.
