Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

With a playoff win on the line, Heritage Christian Academy rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 49-40 victory over the Lakewood Presbyterian Knights. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Heritage Christian Academy was led to victory by Sara Spangler and Addelynn Reid. Spangler dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Reid dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Spangler a new career-high in points. Addison Klock was another key player, putting up eight points.

Despite the loss, Lakewood Presbyterian had strong showings from Zoeh Kinson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards, and Maya Kinson, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Maya has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played.
