Basketball Recap: Garces Memorial Comes Up Short

Garces Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 67-44 to the Frontier Titans. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 744th, while the Titans are ranked 338th).

Frontier had a senior duo take command as Zach Garnett went 9 of 12 on his way to 23 points along with seven boards and three blocks and Kai Wilkins went 7 for 12 to rack up 19 points in addition to six assists and three blocks. Garnett's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Dallin Crawford was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 10 points and eight rebounds.

Garces Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Frontier, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-12.

Garces Memorial has already played their next matchup (against Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Frontier, they have already played their next contest, a 73-35 victory against Highland on the 6th.
