Volleyball Recap: Buckholts Comes Up Short

If Buckholts was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Waelder on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Badgers fell just short of Tournament Opponent by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Despite the loss, Buckholts saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caylee Velez had eight aces and five digs. Velez is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

Buckholts' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Buckholts has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Three Way on the 14th. As for Tournament Opponent, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Como-Pickton on the 14th.
