Recap: Dundalk Owls vs. Kenwood Bluebirds
The Dundalk Owls pushed their score all the way to 55 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kenwood. Dundalk has not had much luck with Kenwood recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kenwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Otuyelu, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Otuyelu has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Mbuyi, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Dundalk's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Kenwood, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dundalk will take on Owings Mills at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Owings Mills is ranked 230th, while Dundalk is ranked 223rd). As for Kenwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodlawn at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
