Basketball Recap: Chilton Takes a Loss

Chilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ripon Tigers. Chilton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ripon apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Chilton's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ripon, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-7 record.

Chilton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oconto at 5:45 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Ripon, they are taking a road trip to square off against Rhinelander on Friday. One thing working in Rhinelander's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
