            Volleyball Recap: Vanden Vikings vs. West Park Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Vanden was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell  2-0 to the West Park Panthers. The Vikings were not able to make up for their  loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting  back in March of 2023.
 Tavas Spencer paced Vanden's offense, picking up seven kills. Spencer got some help from  Jonah Victorio and his seven assists. Finally,  Ifeanyi Onwuazombe kept Vanden's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
 West Park was led to victory by  Noah Moon and  Vince Sison.  Moon  had 22  assists, while  Sison  had seven  digs and one  assist. Moon is  crushing it when it comes to  assists: he's   posted at least 15 every time he's  taken the court this season.
Vanden now  has a losing record of 2-3. As for West Park,  the  victory  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Vanden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  win against McClatchy on the 1st. As for West Park, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  2-0  defeat against Oak Ridge on the 1st.
