Football Game Preview: Jamestown Bluejays vs. St. Mary's Central Saints

The Jamestown Bluejays will challenge the St. Mary's Central Saints on Friday. Jamestown has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 29.

On Friday, Jamestown had to suffer through a 49-14 loss at the hands of Minot North. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Minot North are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Mary's Central). They blew past Watford City 35-12 on Thursday. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Jamestown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Jamestown strolled past St. Mary's Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 21-6. Will the Bluejays repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
