Baseball Recap: Autauga Academy Takes a Loss

Autauga Academy and Brantley squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Autauga Academy had to settle for second. They lost 16-5 to the Bulldogs. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carson Turner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Cody Tornow was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Autauga Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Brantley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

While Autauga Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
