Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Williston walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Fort Meade Miners 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Mighty Red Devils in their matchups with the Miners: they've now won four in a row.

Emily Asencion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Jayla Coleman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Baylee Cribbs, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Williston's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Fort Meade, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 17-7 record.

Coming up, Williston will face off against Trenton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mighty Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. Fort Meade does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
