It's playoff time, and Blountstown had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Madison County Cowboys 33-32. The victory was just business as usual for the Tigers, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

It was another big night for Amari Thomas, who rushed for 208 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

Blountstown didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Bowen Barber, Cyion Smith, and Demarkus Roberts picked up one apiece. Blountstown received some extra help from Thomas, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Lj Crumity and Ryshard Miller certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Crumity rushed for 101 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, while Miller rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Crumity has become a key player for Madison County: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 4-5 otherwise.

Blountstown's record now sits at 11-0. As for Madison County, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.

Coming up, Blountstown will square off against Pahokee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Thomas and Samuel Arnold. Madison County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
