            Softball Recap: Frontier Titans vs. Garces Memorial Rams        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Frontier, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   7-3  victory over the Garces Memorial Rams  on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Rams  on Wednesday, they had to take a  2-1  defeat.

 Taylor Sloss was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Sloss wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Bailey Freeborn, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Tanisha Escarcega was another,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Frontier is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Garces Memorial,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 17-6 record.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frontier will take on Highland at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The last four games the Scots have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Garces Memorial, they will face off against Liberty at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.63  runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
