Football Recap: Azusa Comes Up Short

Azusa easily dispatched Pomona on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Aztecs fell just short of the St. Lucy's Regents by a score of 14-12 on Saturday.

Emma Ramirez produced another solid performance rushing for 85 yards, while also throwing for 46 yards and a pair of TDs for St. Lucy's.

Azusa's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for St. Lucy's, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Azusa has already played their next contest (against Baldwin Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. Lucy's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 28-19 victory against Los Altos on the 8th.
