Basketball Recap: Jordan Comes Up Short

Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Hardaway Hawks 107-20. The Red Jackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 78-4.

Hardaway found their leader in sophomore Rhianna Boynton, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 18 rebounds. Boynton's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Akilah Shelton, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards.

Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Hardaway, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Shaw the next time they take the court. Jordan will host Shaw at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Hardaway will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
