Softball Game Preview: Valley View Spartans vs. Madison Mohawks

Valley View hasn't had much luck against Madison recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mohawks at 5:00 p.m. The last three games Valley View has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Valley View didn't have quite enough to beat Edgewood and fell 6-5.

Reese Riley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jillian Shell, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 13-8 to Monroe.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
