There's no place like home for Southwest DeKalb, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clarkston Angoras on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted against the Angoras since September 21, 2021.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Southwest DeKalb got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 16-14.

Jah'Tima Jackson paced Southwest DeKalb's offense, picking up two kills. Jackson got some help from Janai Townes and her four assists. Townes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Southwest DeKalb now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Clarkston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Southwest DeKalb and Clarkston will both be playing McNair the next time they take the court. The Panthers will host the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Angoras will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
