Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart lost against Cole Camp last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gremlins took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Birds.

Sacred Heart was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18.

Addison Figge paced Sacred Heart's offense, picking up seven kills. Figge got some help from Ava Judd and her 14 assists. Finally, Molly Brown kept Sacred Heart's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Sacred Heart's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Cole Camp, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2-3 record this season.

Sacred Heart has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lincoln on the 9th. As for Cole Camp, they will be playing at home against Smithton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
