Volleyball Preview: Raton Tigers vs. Pecos Panthers
Raton is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Thursday. They are taking a road trip to face off against the Pecos Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Raton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
It was a proper cat-fight when Raton challenged Questa on Saturday. The Tigers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats.

Raton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison Medina out in front who hit 100% for six kills and 28 digs and six aces. Medina is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 39 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Leticia Marquez, who had 14 digs.
They weren't the only good servers: Raton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 16 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pecos, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Penasco on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Pecos hasn't had any issues with Penasco recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-19.
Raton's record is now 10-3. As for Pecos, their record now sits at 5-8.
