Soccer Game Preview: Ferris vs. Venus

The Ferris Yellowjackets will face off against the Venus Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Venus took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Ferris, who comes in off a win.

Ferris took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Hillsboro as they made off with a 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Ferris, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Venus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Life Waxahachie, falling 6-1. Venus were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Ferris is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those seven matches. As for Venus, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Ferris got the 'W' in their previous matchup on February 6th against Venus by a conclusive 5-2 score. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
