Volleyball Recap: Southwest SD Takes a Loss

If Southwest SD was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mar Vista on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Maranatha Christian Eagles on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since April 17, 2024.

While Southwest SD was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Maranatha Christian's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-20.

Southwest SD's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Maranatha Christian, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.
