Game recap: Swartz Creek High School Football Team defeats Brandon

SWARTZ CREEK, Mich. - Swartz Creek (Mich.) grabbed the lead when Brendon Fitch thew a touchdown to Jacob Littles with 9:00 remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat Brandon (Ortonville, Mich.) 42-28 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured three lead swaps.

The Dragons led 28-14 at halftime, but the Blackhawks recaptured the lead on a touchdown with 11:00 to go in the fourth.

Swartz Creek saw its 14-point halftime lead decrease to seven entering the fourth.

The victory was a step in the right direction for SC, which was coming off a 35-21 defeat at the hands of Glenn in its previous game.

Swartz Creek (4-2) goes up against Lapeer East in a Flint Metro game matchup next week, while Brandon (1-5) locks horns with Linden also in a Flint Metro game.
