Volleyball Recap: Wilson Central Comes Up Short

The Wilson Central Wildcats came up short against the Blackman Blaze on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Wilson Central was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21, 25-19.

Annabelle Grissom was the offensive standout of the match as she had five aces and four digs. That's the most aces she has posted over her last eight matchups. Amaya Perkins also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Wilson Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Blackman, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Wilson Central will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Upperman at 5:00 p.m. As for Blackman, they will head out on the road to square off against Oakland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blaze are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
